England Sunset

I got off bus 1 and watched as the bus drove up the hill road. The sun glinted off the towering bus, I sighed and continued to walk on. “What would I give to not ride a bus so late," I said to myself, i did not yet see the sunset ahead me. I nearly choked on air with awe, the colors seemed to dance in the sky, clouds chasing after them. Pink, red and orange were painted on the sky, with the sun peaking out, sprinkling the clouds with gold dust lining. My mouth unconsciously fell ajar for this was the kind of moment for the tv screens. I didn't really notice that i stopped walking, so I continued with my eyes glued to the sky but soon i arrived at my home and ran inside. ``Hi mom and dad``i said quickly `` I NEED to go outside, it's the most lovely sunset out there!``i threw my bag down ``I'll take Poppy out there too!``i continued as my dog's ears pricked up. My parents nodded and a smile split my freckled face.

I ran to my room quickly and grabbed a blanket and a book, as fast as I could. I burst out the door with poppy trailing behind me, almost sweeping me off my feet as she bolted out. I fluffed out my blanket and it settled on the tall grass. I layed down on the blanket, my body in the shape of a starfish. I chuckled as poppy licked at my face and soon settled down with a stick beside me. Her warm fur brushed against me as she chowed on the stick, which the sound tickled my ears. “ Where'd you find that stick, you goober” I smirked, petting her soft ears. I pulled out my phone and started my ED SHEERAN playlist and sighed with awe at the glittering sky, it was most beautiful like a painting you might gaze at for hours upon end. I know i was smiling, but it felt like i wasn't supposed to enjoy this.
